On 10 July 2023, the long-awaited adequacy decision of the European Commission was issued in relation to the 'Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework', the new Protocol for the transfer of Data between the EU and the US, which is based on the Executive Order ('Enhancing Safeguards for United States Signals Intelligence Activities') issued on 7 October by US President Joe Biden.
