The Copasir (Parliamentary Committee for the Security of the Republic) raised the alarm on NPLs, for they are a crucial issue which has been inexplicably, generally long-neglected both from policy makers and the ‘social partners’. This is a deeply rooted, insidious matter and a widespread occurrence, that is even more urgent during the current, unprecedented economic uncertainty, where the Government has understandably extended the scope of action of the so-called Golden Power.
