Francesco Piron provides legal advice in regulatory (ARERA - Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment), administrative, and antitrust law to several multi-utilities (private and public) active in the energy, integrated water service, and waste markets. He also provides judicial assistance before higher courts on disputes related to regulatory issues.

- (2005) Member of the Working Group (AEEG) until July 2005 (as collaborator of the Legislative and Legal Directorate of the Electricity and Gas Authority) for the preparation of the model network code for gas distribution companies;
- (2004 – 2020) Contract lecturer since the 2004-2005 academic year at the CEIS Master's Degree Course of the "Università di Roma Tor Vergata" Master's Degree Course (2nd level) in Economics of Competition and Regulation of Public Utilities;
- (2007) Appointment of expert for the evaluation of system research projects in the electricity sector pursuant to Article 11 of the Decree of the Minister of Productive Activities of 8 March 2006 and included in the LIST OF EXPERTS published by resolution no. 214/07 of the Regulatory Authority for Electricity and Gas;
