In the Chinese regulatory framework, these rules: ('Cyberscurity Law, CSL') adopted in 2017, on the protection of personal data ('Personal Information Protection Law - PIPL') and data security ('Data Security Law', DSL), are complemented by a large body of special, regulatory rules dedicated to industry sectors, such as the 'App Rules'.
