The growing potential of Artificial Intelligence is prompting countries across the globe to establish the practical conditions necessary for its development in service of humanity.
The European Union was among the first to recognize the need for a harmonized legal framework across Member States. Through a series of legislative instruments (Acts), the EU is laying the groundwork for a digital ecosystem rooted in the protection of fundamental rights, open markets, and fair competition on a global scale.
In this context, on 10 July 2025, the European Commission released the Code of Conduct for General Purpose AI Models, marking a critical step in the implementation of the AI Act, which will come into force in August 2025.
