Riverstone S.r.l., a company based in the province of Vicenza, recently acquired 80% of Ideapack Italia S.r.l., a Padua-based excellence in luxury packaging for wines, spirits and other prestigious products. Advisors of the operation were CBA Studio legale for the acquiring party and Studio Grimaldi for the sellers.
The buyer was followed by CBA Studio legale, with a team led by partner Ilaria A. Belluco, flanked by senior associate Alessia Crozzoli. ‘We are particularly pleased to have supported Riverstone in such a significant acquisition for the entrepreneurial fabric of the Northeast, which confirms our commitment in the area alongside entrepreneurs and private equity funds,’ said Belluco.
The Schievano family was assisted on the legal side by Grimaldi Alliance, with partners Alessandro Polettini and Matteo Stradiotto and senior associates Lucia Comisso and Silvia Frigo, and on the tax and financial side, as well as for the role of advisor to the selling party, by Studio Cantoni of Padua with name partner Barbara Cantoni and senior associate Andrea Marcato. Lawyer Stradiotto said: ‘We are pleased to have assisted the Schievano family in this delicate transition that will contribute to Ideapack's growth while keeping the company values intact, also thanks to the important role played by Giada Schievano’.
Amerigo Tagliapietra, CEO of Riverstone, stressed the importance of this acquisition for the development and consolidation of local companies, which are particularly active in this area. Ideapack is a solid company that has been in business for more than 30 years, the path that the Schievano family has taken to date has made it a unique and distinguishable company in the market, the quality of its products is undisputed, and the potential for expansion is enormous,' explained Tagliapietra. The new business plan includes several improvement activities, among them a strengthening of the internal team. The aim is to expand the Ideapack brand not only in Italy, where there are still many opportunities, but also to target those foreign markets that produce high-end wines and spirits and that want to embellish their packaging with the design and quality of Made in Italy’.
Ideapack Italia S.r.l. stands out for the production of eco-friendly wooden packaging, committed to maintaining high standards of quality and innovation, always rooted in the entrepreneurial context of the Northeast. The Schievano family, previous owners of Ideapack, will ensure continuity in the management of the company through the entry of Giada Schievano, who will retain a 20% shareholding and continue to take care of the family business.
Giada Schievano said: I started my career in this family business 14 years ago, with the aim of following in my parents' footsteps, striving to learn the profession in all its facets. Together with our team, we have managed to make significant and innovative changes over the years, which have allowed us to grow and become the company we are today. This new opportunity is the ideal moment for me to take a quantum leap and assume a more prominent role. I am particularly excited to be able to count on Amerigo's support in this new journey. His experience, expertise and ability to introduce novelties, combined with his enthusiasm, represent a fundamental added value for successfully tackling future challenges'.
The transaction saw the involvement and direction of Circlebrain S.r.l. as strategic advisor, with partner Federico Fiamengo, who assisted Riverstone in the preparation and execution of the deal.
