Banca d’Italia’s new guidance: 33% of female representation on BoDs and controlling bodies of unlisted banks

On June 30, 2021 Banca d’Italia resolved on raising from 20% to 33% female presence on the BoDs and controlling bodies of unlisted banks – with an update to the Supervisory provisions for banks contained in its circular letter no. 285/2013. This is to be ensured not later than the first renewal of the entire corporate Body, taking place after January 1, 2022 and in any case by June 30, 2024.
