AD-Words and third-party trademarks: industrial property rights and fair competition – Tax burdens of solar panels for condo roofs

The use of a third-party trademark as a “keyword”, for a favourable positioning among the Internet search results, does not necessarily constitute a violation of the trademark itself.

According to article 1120 of the Italian civil code, as amended by law no. 220/12, the works “for the control of energy consumption of buildings [...] as well as for the production of energy by means of cogeneration plants, or wind, solar sources or any sort of renewables” are to be approved by the homeowners’ association.
