Legislative Decree 26/2023, implementing EU Directive 2019/2161 (the so-called Omnibus Directive), introduced important changes to the Consumer Code by providing stricter rules on price reduction announcements, enforceable as of July 1, 2023, in order to strengthen protection for consumers.
