New challenges for family businesses with the introduction of the new Code on company crisis

The CCII, which came into force for some aspects on 16 March 2019 and for others definitively on 15 July, intervened to amend certain provisions of the Civil Code, further emphasising the relevance and uniqueness of the directors' role in corporate management (free from shareholder interference) as well as the blurred boundary between a company in bonis and in crisis, the latter now understood as a physiological moment in the life of the company.
