The how and why of Italian businesses recapitalisation after Covid

The Recovery Plan has two aims: 1) stimulating recovery in the wake of Covid; 2) solving structural problems in the Italian model of development, such as low productivity. In this view, an extraordinary support fostering the recapitalisation of businesses is a “precondition” for the Recovery Plan to be successful. Reasons for this are several.
