Protection of strong brands: the Italian Supreme Court’s decision on Valentino's brand – Abusive parcelling and conformation of the territory

Once again, in its ruling no. 3118/15 of 17.02.2015 the Supreme Court expressed its views on the protection of strong brands.

Articles 44, c. 1, c), and 30 of Presidential Decree no. 380/2001 (abusive parcelling) equate illegal subdivision of development or urbanization works, to merely juridical subdivision without works (subdivision of land for construction purposes).
