New rules on conflicts of interest of the independent experts of Italian real estate investment funds

The 2019 Italian Budget Act (Law no 145 of 30 December 2018) substantially amended the rules applicable to independent experts, with special regard to the management of conflicts of interest which may affect their activity. This article analyses the amendments made to the independent experts’ regime that are most likely to have a relevant impact on this business segment.
