While securitisation was introduced into the Italian market many years ago (with its cornerstone act issued in 1999), the possibility for Italian securitisation special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to grant loans is still in its infancy.
The purpose of the article is to provide a brief overview of the conditions required for Italian SPVs to grant loans.
